  1. What is ur opinion on this?. I guess it will certainly be close to the cd-r price.
DVD burners are selling well, so demand for dvd media will increase and cost will drop.
Dual layer recorders are on their way to the market so regular dvd media price will drop as the new media hits the shelves.
It would be great to get good quality media for less that 1€.

Yesterday I bought a few 10-disc pack of CD-r's for less than 2€ each pack. My liteOn burned them perfectly. I know they are not reliable for a extended period of storage but they are all I need to back-up my audio cd's to play them on my car radio!

Only when the DUAL LAYER and AOD drives are out.. Then DVD blanks can drop to their lowest

I predict $0.20 per in OCT '04 when AOD is set to DEBUT

(Advanced Optical Disc will be HOLLYWOOD's HI-DEF format..with no burner available until at least a year after introduction, and better more robust copyguard than CSS)

  3. So possibly in a year's time, we will not be able to back-up or personal dvd's?
