Hi,
I have a number of trailers in .mov files and need to convert them to mpeg to cut into a VCD/SVCD. The problem is that when I try to convert using tmpgenc it does not retain this aspect ratio? What do I do to ensure that my converted mpeg has 16:9 widescreen format?
Thanks,
CJ

Under settings:
Video tab:
Aspect ration 16:9
Advanced tab:
Source aspect Ratio: 1:1 (VGA)
Video arrange method: Full screen (keep aspect ratio)
Should work. -
u prolly shouldnt go to VCD if you want to do 16:9...unless you're ok with the not-so-100%-compatible VCD and the low quality. You should prolly go SVCD and letterbox or XSVCD and 16:9.

Hmmm, didn't spot it was for (S)VCD to start with. Neither of these formats supports the 16:9 DAR, so if you use it, you will be non compliant, thus actually creating what is commonly referred to as an X(S)VCD.
