Actually the power supply on it died. We think the computer is still okay, but we're not sure if the computer still works or not, the MB could have been fried.

So perhaps I'll be getting a new computer soon and finally get some speed at home to work with.

WHen I got home my brother told me that the power had gone up an down about 5 times that day. We think that's what fried it.

I think I'll buy a new power supply and sell the ole' cube. Then I'll get a G5 or something.

Mine is the 450mhz with the DVD Drive. I'll be very sad to give it up, because of the 12x DVD Drive can rip an entire DVD in 15min. But yeah, money from it's sell will aid me in a new computer, and a ring

Oh no. I'm here to stay. She knows I'm here all the time and has accepted it

P.S. When did I ever call myself a geek? :P Remember we're mac users, we're not geeks, we're artists

Pfffff, right, just keep telling yourself that. Lemme check the directory . . . yep, message board admin definitely puts you in the upper echelons of geekdom. Macs actually bring out the geek in people, by enticing them to do more things with their computers, by setting the barrier for entry so low with their iLife programs. Problem is, once you start working on all these different things like photos, movies and DVDs, you want to try more advanced features, at which point you're on a slippery slope towards geekiness. On a Mac, a relatively curious individual might become a full-fledged geek in a couple years. On a Windows machine, however, only the most enthusiastic learners will ever progress beyond 'clueless noob' status, since the barrier to entry for so many things is so high.
