I'm new to the idea of capturing video and authoring to DVD. Based upon the guides on this site and browsing the forum, I believe the steps listed below will give me fairly high quality video. If there is something I am missing or if there is a better way of doing it please let me know.
1. I capture video using my pinnacle card, iuvcr, and the huffyuv codec.
2. I edit the avi file using virtualdub.
3. I encode the avi file to mpeg-2 using tmpgenc.
4. I author the DVD using tmpgenc DVD Author.
5. I burn the DVD using Roxio Easy CD and DVD creator.
Thanks

Looks OK with just a samll question mark over point 5. Most people around here seem to prefer Nero (including me) or Recordnow max for DVD burning. Roxio is not popular with many.

Sounds good to me as far as procedure goes.
The only other things that might bare some scrutiny are the TMPGEN encoding options as well as resolution and length of the video.
