Before I bought the Proline 1040 dvd player, I read the reviews posted here on dvdrhelp. One of the features should be the ability of reading DVD+R discs. Once bought, I find out that the player is NOT able to read the +R discs I have. (BulkPaq and another cheap brand)...
I would like to know from others users of the Proline 1040, how they are able to view movies burned on DVD+R discs......
Thanks in advance

Burner type, firmware, burning software, settings,....etc....?????
You stop me again whilst I'm walking and I'll cut your fv<king Jacob's off. -
The burner type is unkown because I got them from a neighbour. The firmware is out of the box. The player is firmware upgradeable but there are no firmware upgrades.
This is my second dvd player, my first (which I still have) is a Pioneer DV343 and it plays every dvd disc I place in it.... any suggestions? -
Well,
Same goes for me. It seems there is no firmware available anywhere for this player. The only possible way would be to burn your DVDR with the DVD-ROM booktype (which I can't do myself becquse my burner sony dru500a will not let me chqnge the booktype on DVD+-Rs...
I guess I'll stick with DVD-R from now on or buy another standalone.

Has anyone found an answer for this one yet?
