  1. Does anyone have a DVStorm2 with a Athlon64/Opteron working? If you do what motherboard is it. Both Canopus and AMD are NOT giving any answers to this question. In the past the only chipsets for AMD that worked with the DVStorm2 were the AMD 761 chipset and the AMD 760 chipset. They had problems with chipsets from VIA, SIS, Nvidia, and AMD 760 MPX. Some of the errors were intermittent lockups and pci busy errors.

    Thanks
    Steve

It'll work with AMD 762 MP chipset, dunno about any of the 64-bit chips. My first guess would be no as I can only imagine what kind of fights that card would have with the new chipsets. However if you're looking to sell it...

    Dear Mr.Steve P

    Hello Steve,

Thank you for contacting AMD's Technical Service Center. Actually, no
you should not have any issues. In fact, the Canopus folks really like
the Opteron solution very much. You might even want to contact them to
hear their experience with Opteron based solutions first hand.
However, I can tell you that you will likely be very happy with an
    Opteron based video editing box.

The Opteron uses a completely different chipset and chip to chip
interconnect so the limited bandwidth issues have long since been
resolved with the Opteron based solutions.

Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
    contact me.

    Respectfully,
