Hello,

I'm hoping folks here can recommend a DVD player that can be modified (preferably NOT through eprom replacement) to be region-free, macrovision disabled and yet still support the Closed Caption stream from my DVD's. By Closed Captioning I do NOT mean Subtitles. I have modified my Apex AD1500 with a firmware disc, and it accomplishes the first two goals, but it does not have CC. I'm not sur eit supprted CC before the modification. So, I would like to try another player, but was hoping someone could recommend one that meets all three criteria: Region Free, Macrovision disabled, and Closed Caption support.
