  1. yea, i know the ps2 cant play vcds/svcds/minidvds you name it. i spent a long time trying to make a very small clip (just 10 secs as a test) work on it, using a tutorial. Its pretty much use tmpegenc to extract the .m2v file, and the mp2 file separately from the original clip. the mp2 in converted to wav, a program puts these together into a .pss file. ANOTHER program extracts a bunch of subfolders and files into one big folder. THEN you plop the .pss file in there, and make a .iso, which is then burned with cdrwin with specific settting. didnt work, figures. just wondering if anybody's gotten this tutorial to work, probably needs a mod chip but they never said that.

  2. just get in ur heads American PS2's cannot i repeat cannot play vcds out of the box ..u need a video card to play vcds on PS2 but they didnt make it soooooooo deal with it!!!!!!!

    Even though you're attempting to play a movie file you are loading the disk as a game. The PS2 will not load a cdr game without a mod chip or some other form of modification so yes you need a mod chip to play that disk.

  5. im sorry about that N8theGr8 i thought it was a vcd or a svcd....but still for the people who think American PS2's can not play vcd out of the box
