ok, it seems that nobody can help. now, i want to make a new install of ffmpeg and the plugins. unfortunetly, the downloadlink for mplayer and ffmpegbinarys don´t´work (using safari final). i shut down the proxy, but i doesn´t work, too.

i tried downloading here:



is there another source for downloading???
and btw: is it recommned to login as "root-user" to install and operate ffmpeg?? in process-window i got some "permission denied errors..."

you could try

a) another browser (Mozilla, Firebird, Internet Explorer)

b) use wget and type in your terminal (for example)

"wget http://cesnet.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/mplayerosx/ffmpegxbinaries.sit"

without the quotes of course. If you don't have wget you can find it at versiontracker.

Don't login as root...try re-installing all ffmpegX stuff and if you still get the permission-denied error you could send an e-mail to major.

ok, the "wget" tools are great! i could download the stuff for ffmpeg i needed - but i still doesn´t encode vob 2 mpeg2 SVCD
