  1. I am following the AVI to DVD guide on this site to obviously convert an AVI file to DVD.
I am loading my avi into TMPGEnc and getting to the point of specifying the bitrate settings etc and at this point the info I am gettin at the top of the page is:
    Movie Info 720x480 23.976 fps / 48000 Hz Stereo / 294 min 39 sec.

The thing that is bothering me is what does the 294min 39sec mean? Is this the length of the AVI?
If so, then something is wrong, as the AVI is approx 110mins.

Can anyone help me on this?
I left it running anyway and it got to the end of the AVI and then it just said it was analyzing on a black screen!

    Can anyone help me please!!

    Thanks

Sounds like your avi has VBR encoded audio. Extract the audio to a wav file and you can use that as the audio source. Goldwave will extract it, just load the avi then save.

  3. Thanks for the reply.
Please can u explain it a bit more for me, I am new to all this.
I load my avi into Goldwave and then what?
Load it again into TMPGEnc and load the audio file as well? Or just the AVI?
    Please let me know.

    Thanks

After loading the avi file in goldwave then select "save as" and it will save an uncompressed .wav file. In TMPGEnc you select the .avi as the video source and the .wav as the audio source.
