I don't know if this is "Captureing" "Conversion" "Stand-alone recorders" or something else, so I'll put it here.
I'm capturing w/ a Panisonic DMR-E30 to DVD-RAM. This makes the VRO files in a DVD_RTAV folder instead of VOB under VIDEO_TS.
Searching the forum I found out that uLead was supposed to be able to import these (Pinnacle and DVDXCopy Platinum don't). Turns out that uLead has problems too. It complains about the AC3 video and also the video that got imported had horizontal bars of "good video" alternating with horizontal bars of garbage.
Ideally I'd like something simple (like DVDXCopy) that would let us import, select scenes and then burn on DVD-R. Is there any such critter than can handle DVD-RAM as input?
If not, what's the best (i.e. simplest) way to import a DVD-RAM into a form that something else (preferably Pinnacle, since I've already paid for it ... maybe uLead, maybe something else) can edit and burn it out again.
