  1. Hello. I have a DVD and I am trying to make a copy of it to preserve my original as it is a collector's edition. I read the tutorial from MadBob and everything seemed to go well. I went through the settings of AnyDVD and followed the instructions as outlined. I then went to CloneDVD and proceeded to clone the information as it said. When I got to the end, I thought that I could just click on the DVD and play the movie, but it has 2 folders > Audio_TS and Video_TS. Just as I write this I tried clicking on the DVD again and it says that a "compatible DVD decoder is not installed" so Media Player can not play the DVD.... is this the problem? What decoder do I need and where do I find it?

Thanks for any help in advance.

    Info:
    AOpen DRW4410 DVD +RW/ +R > using a DVD+R disk.
2400 +Athlon, Asus motherboard, 80GB HD, Windows Home XP.

On another note.. I purchased my DVD +RW drive and included is a CD that should allow me to have nero5, PowerDVD, and 3 other programs on this bonus cd. I tried to install the PowerDvd and it asks for a key... but there is no key with the disk. Any ideas on this? Happened to anyone else? This was a purchase from Costco and no other information was in the box. It is a little hard to find someone at Costco to help you out, otherwise I would go into the store.

  2. Does anybody have any help for me? It seems like it might not be a huge problem, but I need some help identifying where I went wrong. Please help me if you have any suggestions.

Also > does anyone else have a better system that they would recommend? If so, please post link to a guide. I need something that tells me all steps from having my orginal DVD and need to create back-up that will play on both computer and DVD player > using DVD+R disks.

    Thanks.

PowerDVD does require a serial number which should be located on the reverse of the paper sleeve that the disc came in. If not, go back to Costco and ask them for one that does because legally they cannot sell software that requires a key without providing the key to you.
    If in doubt, Google it.
