    How can you tell how many region changes you have left in your DVDRW ( I started with 5 but not sure how many left).
    Is it true that when you get to your 5th ,it locks in?

    Yes,after the fourth change it's locked.
    Use InfoTool to check: www.cdspeed2000.com
    If you want region free firmware go to www.rpc1.org and look for "RPC-1 patched firmware".
