    Ever worked with mov? A real PITA, to say the least! Better convert to AVI (I've been succesful with River Past Video Cleaner), then you have a whole arsenal of tools to choose from. (VirtualDub most prominent)

    No, that is not obvious. Not if you save as uncompressed AVI, keeping source frame rate, size etc, you ought to get exactly the same q as in the source mov.
    ...and yes, it will increase in size - how much depends on how the mov is compressed.
