  1. Hello All,

    Need some advice,

Just got myself a DVD Writer but cannot be bothered reauthoring MPEG VCD to burn to DVDR so does anyone know how well DVD players cope with 99 min CDRs - I've converted MPEG from DIVX hence why I can't be bothered doing anymore encoding

I have a Dansai 1010 player so if anyone has used a 99 min CDR successfully please let me know

    Cheers

  2. i've got an svcd movie on two 99 minute cd-r's, in my pioneer dvd260 it play perfectly, but on my sanyo dwm370 it plays fine until about the last 5 minutes of the disc.. it then begins producing macroblocks and skipping.

i think it varies player to player.. some might not even read 99 minute cd-r's disc.

btw, these are compusa 99 minute cd-r's (i've still got like 20 of 24 left after 2 years.. i never really found a good use for them since i started burning dvdr's)

  3. I have sccessfully used 99min cdr in two different players and two different drives (1cdr 1dvd). It has been said that they will burn up to 98 mins.. however I have burnt beyond this and survived to tell the tale. At std vcd you can burn more than 100 mins onto one of these, about 110 mins, especially if you do so with lowered audio quality (128 against 224). They will take more than 1000Mb (which is less than a GB). these were infiniti 99'ers
