  1. Hi,

I've been a long time user of Powerdvd, but I feel like a change, after using a bundled verison of WinDvd for a couple of weeks, I have to admit that I like it, but cant make my mind up.
Powerdvd is very much a good piece of user friendly software, whereas WinDvd obtains better visuals from my Radeon 9500 Pro.

    Any opinions or alternatives?

    Thanks a lot,

    B1.

  2. PowerDVD might just seem more userfriendly to you just because you have used it for so long. I would suggest you force yourself to use WinDVD for a week or so. If it looks better might be worth it. Im downloading a trial of it now. I to am a PowerDVD user.

I tried WinDVD and it had problems opening DVD files authored with TMPGEnc DVD Author and a couple otherh programs. PowerDVD has never had trouble opening anything.

I hate straddling the fence, but I keep both on my desktop. It seems that when one has trouble playing a video, the other seems to be able to step right in.
    Hello.
