    Im having problems with TMPGEnc, i cant open an mpg2,5GB. It gets freezed when i try to open it. Is it TMPG that cant stand big files, or is my computer the problem?
    my pc is a PIV, 512 RAM, 100 HD, 2GHz.

    Can you open smaller mpeg 2 file?

    I ask because TmpGenc has to be configured in a certain way to open mpeg files, the size and PC specs don't normall come into it.

    Try taking a look here .

    I would reccomend the dvd2avi method. It works for me.

    yes i have done it before with smaller files, also mpg2
