Here you go, Devanshu. In all it's technical glory!

Thanks for the link...quick question though:
One of the differences is physical size. A Type I card fits into a Type II slot. A Type I and Type II cards fit into a Type III slot. Due to the larger physical size, the Type III card does not fit into a Type II or Type I slot. Similarly, a Type II card does not fit into a Type I slot. -

Alright, I bought a typeI card and it's compatible w/ my PDA. Do I need to buy a reader/writer for the card or can I transfer the files directly from the computer to the PDA(with the card in of course)?
Also, does anyone know a good place for free yet entertaining PDA games? -
I can transfer files directly to my CF memory card from the PC through my WinCE based HandHeld PC (the grand-daddy of your PocketPCs). I assume it will be the same for your PDA.
When I put a CF card in my H/PC there is a new directory in the root called "Storage Card". If I use Activesync to "browse" my PDA, you can copy and read files from this folder as well -- in essense, reading and writing to the card through the PDA.
Mind you, this will be relatively slow though... Even when I sync through an ethernet card (which is much faster than USB), the read and write speed to the CF card is somewhat slower than if I use a CF reader directly on the PC. I suggest that you get a CF card reader... they are pretty cheap nowadays anyway.
BTW, almost ALL CF memory cards are in the Type I form factor. There may be exceptions when you go to the really high capacity cards (e.g., 1+ Gb) but otherwise, you can almost be certain they will work with all Windows CE/PocketPC based PDA.

Thanks virtualis! I bought a type I card and figured that out today...I'm still experimenting with it though. Yeah, I know what you mean about the read/write speed. It took a LONG time to write only 19MB so I'll go pick up a reader/writer tomorrow. Thanks again.
