  1. hi,

I'm wondering if there's a way to add audio (from WAV or MP3 files) into a VOB file?

I have music videos i recorded from VHS to DVD-R but the sound on the music videos are horrible (original recordings over 15 years old). I want to copy the VOB files to my harddrive and then encode each song from audio cd's into MP3 or WAV and then replacing the bad sound on the VOB files with the fresh sound, then I will burn the VOB files out to a new DVD-R.

It's best if i can do it directly on the VOB files so i don't have to covert them into AVI etc, is there a way??

i appricate any help or suggestions!

    You could use

    VOBEdit https://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=132#comments
    or
    VOBRator https://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=137#comments

to split out the video to it's mpg format and remux (reauthor, DVDLab ect.) with your new soundtrack. You wouldn't have to do any reformatting of the video so you would not loose anything there. This might be easier to redo/adjust to make sure your A/V sync is under control (recorded songs dont' always time up with the "VID" version).

    Good Luck.

  3. Thanks for the advice! i will download and try that utility.

i'm afraid it might be to hard to learn though, I don't even know what "remux" means.

I'm aware of that the speed of the audio on CDs is sometimes not exactly the same as on the same songs' music videos, however i know how to adjust audio files to the exact correct speed.

The best for me would be a utility that simply just replaces the audio in a VOB-file with the file of a certain MP3/WAV file.

I'm very new to working with DVD-R's, VOB files etc, so i need a solution as easy and user-friendly as possible
