I don't know if this is the right section to ask this question so please tell me if its not. I bought a digital camera and now i want to add memory which secure digital memory. I don't know whats the difference between different brand name sd memory, because the cost on lets say 128 meg varies. Are there different speeds on sd memory. Also which one would be good for a digital camera. Thanks

That's kind of a tough question. Since SD memory came out, the manufactures have came out with several 'speeds' of memory cards. As far as I can tell, that refers to the time it takes to save an image on the card. I think it would really depend on the individual camera. I bought my cards before most of this speed thing came out. You might have to find a digital camera forum to get the best answer. Simple answer, they all work, but some may work faster for saving if the camera is set up to use their speed. As far as manufactures, stick with the big names, I doubt if there is much difference between them. If you can get a 512MB card, that's probably all you will ever need. Even a 256MB will last a full day of picture taking for most people.
