  1. Anyone here use DVD X COPY?

    How is it?

I just ordered a new Dell Dimensions and I'm going to purchase a DVD+/- burner. I will be using it to record from other DVD movies, no editing or anything fancy...just recording.

Havent decided on the DVD+/- burner yet, but would the included software be sufficent for what I want or would I benefit from X COPY ?

Why don't you go to the 321 Studios website afterdawn and read what people say about it. I'm sure you'll get similiar responses as posted on this site.

  3. No, it's crap!
Everything they charge for, upto $100, can be had for free with the tools available on this site. Ontop of it all DVD X Copy is bad quality software with minimal testing done before release (betas). Get the following programs and your set:

    DVD Decryptor
    DVD Shrink
    ImgTools

Burn image with DVD Decryptor and your set.

Now, if you want higher quality at a price use Pinnacle's Instant CD/DVD but you'll still need DVD Decryptor (free).
    Enjoy!

    Greetings,

I have to agree that dvdxcopy is not a very good software. Almost everything is better than it. You may try freewares, or cheaper software like Instancopy or dvd2one.

    Personnally, I use in combos
    Nero recode (free beta version)
    dvd shrink
    imgtools
    dvd decrypter

and sometimes instantcopy V8 (about 50$).

    Thank you
