  1. I've read the forums and guides and done some searching and I guess i'm just missing something. So please help if you can.

From what I understand I can rip with let's say DVDShrink and that will rip the files to my HD. Then i need another program to burn those files from the HD to the blank DVD-R media. my question and I know this an opinion based question - What software is best to do this with??

Being so new I had thought about going with DVDXCOPY express as a point and click tool to get started, but I hate spend the $$ when there are other things out there that from what I have read are free and do a better job without all the crap they add to the DVD.

Sorry to sound so stupid on this, but as I said I think I'm just missing what the best buring prog is after i've ripped it with dvdshrink.

Thanks so much in advance for all your help.

In my opinion, use DVD DECRYPTER (free) to rip to hard drive. Then use CLONE DVD ($40) to process the info. For that rare instance where it can not process a movie, I use DVD Shrink (free) and then burn with CLONE DVD. Clone DVD can burn dvd files even if it did not process them. 3 coasters in 200 back-ups. GOOD RECORD!

  8. Damn you guys are awesome.... Thank you for that thread above I had read it once and I'm going to re-read it. As I said I'm so new to this dvd stuff but it looks pretty simple once you get it figure out. Hell I don't even have the burner yet but it will be here tomorrow and i want to be already to go. After learning about this site and reading all the help you guy provide my only concern now is going to be what the wife is going to say when she actually finds out I bought this damn thing. I think I'm going to get my butt kicked a little for spending the $$ but with the prices dropping so low, how can you afford not to have one.

Thanks again you folks are really awesome!!!!
