  1. Ok, a while ago, I set my home on my WIN XP Home Internet Explorer 6.028 and I was happy. Now I want to change it.

No matter what I do, right click, internet options tab, saving current, default, clicking on a popup that asks me if I want to save as home page,anything........ ! It always loads that old home page.

I know there some file somewhere that stores this information.

Please enlighten me on how to change this freaking home page!!!!!

  2. you've probably got some spyware going on in your system.

    try running

    ad-aware
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=506

    spy bot seek & destroy
    http://www.umich.edu/~hsw/spybotsd12.exe

    &

    browser highjack blaster
    http://www.wilderssecurity.net/bhblaster.html

its a good idea to run all these programs, just to make sure your system is clean of shitty spyware.

a warning though, if you've installed any programs that only let you use them because they adware sponsored, then these programs may screw that up a bit.. but a simple re-install of that program should fix it up.

i'd also suggest updating the programs once you've got them installed so that they have their latest definition/dictionary file updated.

  3. Ok thanks for the reply however, none of them seem to do the trick.

Now Browser Hijack DOES identify the default page and Home page database as from the same date but I cant get it to reload the current home page date.

    Please anyone else????
