    strange, but when i was shopping for my recorder (panasonic dmr-e80h) the local Circuit City had two refurbished/open box Sony RDR-GX7 for $519... well below what they go for on the website.

    I called http://www.shopharmony.com/ the person on the phone said that the deal we have with sony and there all brand new DVD recorder's.
