Hi folks,
This is probably a simple question, but it's something I've not had to do yet.
I'm backing up a DVD that uses LPCM as it's default audio stream but also has 5.1 AC3 as another stream.
I ripped the DVD using SmartRipper 2.41 and then shrunk it using DVD2One choosing the AC3 stream instead of the LPCM (so I'd have more space to get better video quality).
Problem is when I play the backup I don't get any sound until I press the 'Audio' button (ie to tell the player to switch to the AC3 stream).
I noticed that the AC3 stream is on the 0x81 instead of the 0x80 channel.
How do I get it to use the AC3 as default (ie switch it to 0x80) ?
Thanks,
NiVZ.

Vobrator will do that.
I thought Smart Ripper might too, it has a "modify"
check box on audio stream processing. What happens when you select that ?
I think Ifoedit will too. -
Smartripper in stream mode, only works in movie mode, allows you to rip and change the I.D. of the audio stream. Just select the 081 stream, highlight it and set the remap box to 080. That will promote the 081 stream to be the 080 stream. Problem DVD Shrink won't open movie only files. Solution, use IFOEDIT to create new ifo files.
DVD95COPY and CloneDVD upto ver 1284 will correct the ifo files so you can rip in file mode and the 081 stream would then autoplay in your DVD player.
Also DVD2ONE can open and encode from movie only files,I think it's the only DVD compression program that can. Just remember that while you have made the 081 stream 080 the ifo file still thinks 081 is 081 so select the LPCM stream.
