Hello,
Fully new to ripping etc.
I have a strange question, I want to convert VOB to a file for playing on a VHS-player(don't know which file extension that is ??)
For a friend who don't have a DVDplayer
Thank you very much!

VHS don't play files - they play tapes! If your gfx card has TV Out, then play the VOBs on the computer and record on a VHS recorder hooked to your gfx card TV Out.
