  1. Which rental service would any of you prefer. I just joined Netflix and I got my movies on monday. I shipped them back early tuesday and they didnt get them checked in untill Friday. They'll have me more movies on Monday. Are they always that slow and if so is it really worth the $20 bucks just to get movies once a week? Please give me some freedback on either one of the services. Thanks

Yes...but it's not that bad considering the rental fees other mail rental services charge for DVDs and VHS cassettes.

Wallmart charges a little less, but each carry titles the other doesn't.

If you're looking for older movies or harder to find titles, both are pretty good together.
If you're just interested in the latest big budget releases, you should just try a local video rental store.

You can get more than 3 discs at a time from Netflix, but it's more than $20 a month if you choose that option.

I don't know about what they carry in their stores, but I pulled up a few NC-17 titles in their mail rentals.

They even carry Pink Flamingos (one of the most obscene movies ever made) - Netflix won't touch it.

Many video stores across the country, that would carry it a few years back (I.E. you won't find it at Blockbuster), had it in edited versions only on VHS...it's completely unedited on DVD.

Netflix seems to have more of a selection though...but you can find some stuff Netflix no longer has or never had at Wallmart.com

  6. Yeah I like some of the italion horror stuff, like walmart has Suspiria but Netflix doesnt, its the same with a couple of other titles. I dont really want to subscribe to both, maybe i can just find what walmart has and netflix doesnt and then do the free trial for wal mert I still dont like the slow turnaround times though.

  7. Walmart sucks. Twice as slow as netfilx and they have less of any given title, meaning if it's popular you can wait months to get it.
    "Terminated!" :firing:
