Toy Story 2 Region 1 help needed please

Does anyone own the original of Toy Story region 1, my daughter has knackered mine, have dvd Decrypted it and VTS_07_03.VOB is unreadable at 795,746KB can someone let me resume it from there please, will be eternally grateful as will my daughter.

I know mate the situation you are in,,,,,,,kids who needs them....

You two choices mate:
You can get the disk to be professionly cleaned up...........er dont think so!
or check to see if the vob file you mentioned is actually part of the main film,,,if it isn't then all you can do is just rip the main film from the original and create a new disk with just the film on it or keep the menu titles aswell and just have the play icon activated...

Or, in this instance I _believe_ that you are perfectly within your rights to resume that file from a rental DVD. I'd check someone more well versed in law than I though.

But if I own a film already, or a CD... I can perfectly legally download it. So can you. A trip to BlockBuster might be in order.

By the way, I _do_ have Toy Story 1, but mine is the Ultimate Toybox, and the VOBS are really quite different I'm afraid.

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately my local vid shop dont have Toy Story 2, I did borrow a friends copy but it was also corrupt at the same point in the same VOB! and his DVD has no scratches weird? Looks like I gotta buy it again or purchase of The Ultimate Toy Box

Have you upped all the levels on DVD Decryptor?

i.e. Error checking, retries etc.. it might slow it down but it may get the file eventually..

I have done this and ended up with a better quality back up (no errors) than the original.

yea I tried upping everything in decrypter, I let it run for about 2 hrs with no luck, also tried smartripper with same results, seems a bit harsh I gotta buy the cmplete DVD as only 200mg is needed in VTS_07_03.VOB, oh well I've always wanted the Ultimate edition anyway

That's weird. Are you ripping with your burner? Have you tried ripping with your reader instead? Have you tried DVD Shrink, or AnyDVD?
