To animate continues lines on a map (from point A to B and then to C etc) in Vegas4 it was suggested to create such line(s) in 'Photoshop'.
Well, I need some more help : All I can find is Adobe Photoshop for incredible almost $ 700.00 . Is there another 'Photoshop' out there I could work with ?

You could use many other image editing softwares such as Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop Elements, etc (both of those are more like $40-80, if I remember correctly).
Or do a Google search for The Gimp - it's open source, free software that is comparable to Photoshop. It was made for Linux/*nix, but there is a Windows version of it available.
you just need to make sure that whatever software you use has the capabilities to do what you need in the tutorial. If it's just drawing a line on an image, you could use Microsoft Paint (free, with windows.)
check TuCows or Shareware.com for low-cost graphic / image editing software.- housepig
