  1. Has anyone used the Xbox to watch DVD+R/RW?If so,what media and programs did you use to burn?IHow is the quality?Also does the Xbox have Dolby Digital And DTS abilities?Thanks.

    if you click dvd players on the left < then search for xbox you will get a good list of user posts and compatibility. ie the 1st post says plays dv-r dv+r dv-rw dv+rw. hope this helps

  3. Playback capabilities also depends on the laser housed inside the XBOX. I have oner that wil read R, but not RW. A friend of mine had one that will read only the RW discs.

    Really? I have had no problems playing -r, +r, -rw and +rw on both new and older xbox's. Indeed it seems to be more tolerant than my three standalone dvd players

  5. I do not have a -R/RW burner, hence I cannot attest to the ability of the drive to read them, and I would not want to testify falsely in regards to the capabilities of said drive.
