Don't you know that it is very hard to read what you are saying when you dont use punctuation marks in your sentances and we try hard to follow it and end up having to reread it again just to make sure that we got it right but by then we get fed up and dont even bother answering your question and whats with the challenge about we will see whats next calling us poopy head please all you have to do is at least use a period just a few times to help us out when we read this and then maybe we can answer it to the best of our ability and what do ya mean that u put film onto the dvd that is kinda hard to decipher maybe you mean that you put an mpeg2 file onto it but is it mpeg 2 or no just that it may be an avi or whatever so its kinda hard to tell the problem.

    Multi-Region is meaningless.

If you didn't close thedisk session, it generally doesn't work.

You did put the VOB/IFO/BUB files in teh VIDEO_TS folder, and no in the root of the DVD. Look at it in Windows and see if you see folders and files or just folders.

How do you know your players play +R?

Crappy media can't be read by most DVD Players.

Can you watch the disk in PowerDVD/WinDVD in Windows? In Disk mode?

It doesn't matter where you save the files from DVDShrink, the important bit is where you place those files on the disk when you burn. ALL the files with .vob, .bup and .ifo file extensions need to be placed in a folder on the disk called VIDEO_TS (must be in upper case), there should also be a folder called AUDIO_TS but with nothing in it (if this is missing it causes some players to not read).

Alternatively, it might just be crap media, not all disks are equal and many players are fussy about what they will read.

  9. thanx for that!!! i am sure i am doing everything correct, is ther any difference in selecting nero express and selecting all bup/ifo/vob files and adding as i suppose this is putting those files into video ts, or selecting new compilation then dvd video then moving all files over to VIDEO_TS?. If the film is working in my dads sony surely i have done correct or maybe not!. The discs I used are printable dvdr+ are they crappy media ?. I did the same thing with pirates of caribbean and worked on all three dvd players the only difference was I did a deep analysis do you think this could have made any difference?. I have heard opf another program called dvd region free its the same sort of set up as dvd shrink, would using a different program help????.

I use shrink and have never had a problem whether I've used deep analysis or not. If you are forming the folder structure on the DVD correctly, they should work and it could just be down to media.

You need to find out what dye type has been used and who made them. That isn't always obvious from the disks themselves or the packaging. Nero can check the disk info and tell you who made it or you can download a program called DVD Info. I always use Ritek disks as these seem to have the least problems with compatibility. Once you know what it is you are using, check them out in the DVD Media se3ction to the left.

  11. What kind of media are you using?

You should buy a 5 pack of high quality media and test it.

Gazorgan is right, this could be your problem...
