Hi there,
this is my first post. I have been reading for a while, searching the Forum and came to the conclusion that MyFlix XE is the best tool for me. I get .mpg (2) files from TV (MyFlix XE calls them mpeg 2 stream), but I don't capture them myself so I am not 100% sure about how they are captured.
I then need to cut and merge.
It is all pretty simple with MyFlix XE, I managed to cut out commercial, split files, merge other files etc.
My problem is that the end result is more than 2 times larger than the original. I cut an 2 minute clip last week. It was 40 MB when I loaded it into MyFlix XE, I then trimmed it down to 1 minute, saved it and it turned out to be 42 MB. I tried with different files and it always happens.
I bought MyFlix XE and therefor emailed Mediware Solutions about this problem 3 days ago but didn't get an answer.
The software is useless to me as I put the clips on the internet to share them with my family (they live in a different country and can't watch them otherwise).
I trimmed a 12 minute clip the other day, cut out 2 minutes and it went from 400 MB to 750 MB. That makes no sense at all
Anybody got any hints for me what I can do about it ?
I am new to video editting so please forgive me should I ask stupid questions.
