  1. Is it possible to convert a Ulead DVD Workshop .ixa image to another type of image? Such as bin/cue, etc.

    One of the reasons I want to know is because when I try to burn with Ulead I get an error saying "Failed in performing power calibration. Error [13007:1:60]". This keeps me from burning my projects. My burner works with other burning programs, just not Ulead.

    I want to change the images so I can burn them with another program and so I can give it to friends to burn who dont have Ulead.

    So another solution to this would be a program that can burn .ixa images other than Ulead. That way I can just use that to burn to disc.
    Thanks.

  2. Am I missing something? When I go to the Finish screen, I select "Make Disc" and I check "create an image file", which creates a .iso file, usuable by Nero or any other DVD burning program.

  3. When I do that it makes a ixa image. Do you have the upgrade cause I am only using 1.0 of it.

  4. Have you tried opening the ixa file in Nero? (I recall that the Nero dialog box only defaults to one or two types of file.) Change the dialog to all files and try to open.

    When you create a DVD with DVDWS the image file is iso and when you create a VCD or SVCD the image file is an ixa.

  6. Oh ok, yah I am making SVCD and VCDs. But now that we know this there is still the problem of me not being able to burn the images with ulead. Is there a way to convert the ixa images or is there another program that can burn them?

  7. Hello,

    I have the same problem with ulead videostudio 6. The system i use for rendering has no cdrw so i use the option create image file when creating a (s)vcd, the programm creates an svcd_xa.ixa file. This is not an recognised file by Nero or Winoncd. The strange thing is that when creating an dvd the option create image in .iso format is available! It realy sucks because i cannot create an svcd! and the miniDVD format works fine on the pc but not on the standalone dvd players.

    Once i found a solution on some forum with the program isobuster (.com) It creates an .bin file which you can rename, but Nero says something is wrong with the block size. I tried every option but it does not work!!!

    So does anyone have a solution? or an guide how to do this?

    Regards
    Marco

    Please try downloading and installing the following Ulead CD/DVD Burner Compatibility Patch:

    ftp://ftp.ulead.com/pub/Updates/DVDPlugin1.0/030815/DVD_PLUGIN_Patch_E_030815.exe

    Hope this helps,

    Those images can be burned by the Ulead utility called the "Ulead Disc Image Recorder."

    The utility is included with...

    1. Ulead DVD PictureShow 2;

    http://www.ulead.com/dps/runme.htm

    2. Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7;

    http://www.ulead.com/msp/runme.htm

    3. Ulead VideoStudio 7.

    http://www.ulead.com/vs/runme.htm

    To find the utility, one can click START > ALL PROGRAMS and then open the program group of each of the above three programs and the Ulead Disc Image Recorder program will be included.

    4. In addition, there's a COPY FROM DISC/DISC IMAGE feature in Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2 that allows one to either extract and re-burn a disc image from a homemade DVD disc or simply browse to the location of an .iso or .ixa file and re-burn it.

    I am told Ulead has targeted DVD Workshop toward professional users and that is why the one-click copy feature isn't in DVD Workshop.

    I don't personally agree with that decision as I'd like to see it incorporated into DVD Workshop as well.

    It's very handy.
