  1. Is it possible without a DVD-ROM. If not, there any other way?

  2. In terms of "ripping" (i.e., digital extraction of data from the DVD), the answer is no.

You could of course capture it with a capture card on your PC, while playing it back on a stand-alone DVD player (but this isn't ripping).

  3. haha.....i've read so many posts with regard to "can i play a DVD in my CD-ROM?" or "how come my CD-ROM can't play DVDs?"....

come on ppl, don't be THAT cheap...if u gonna rip off the movie industry (which i might add...deserves to be ripped off cuz i paid $6 to watch crap-ass movies w/ absolutely no plot like tomb raider)...might as well contribute to the hardware manufacturers...btw...DVD-ROMs r very considerably cheaper now...i think the delta 12X DVD-ROM is near $50
