  1. Can anyone recommend printable media and a source for the UK?

My printer (Canon i965) has a caddy for printing onto disks, but the disks aparantly need the matted white surface to print on.

    Any help, gratefully received.

    Pete.

  2. Try Here
I'm not alone here in saying that these guys do a great service.
Used them many times now and have never had a problem.
I have used these {DV 362} New 4X Princo Inkjet Printable DVD-R in tubs of 50, the ICE ones and the Ritek printables which seem to have dissapeared from their list at present...Someone did report a problem with them (ritek) so it could be they have withdrawn them for now.
I hope they are back soon as i need some more before christmas.

Where ever you source from always make sure it says INKJET printable and not just printable.....

That link is the best source for media. The biggest problem with printables is that most of them have a massive unprintable centre which ends up looking nothing like a professional dvd cover. Why do the manufacturers do this? The best I have found are the verbatim printables. A bit dearer. and they have quite a rough surface so may need varnish, but you end up with the best disc for reliability and a great print.

Where did you get a Canon i965?
I checked their US website and they don't have that model listed there.
I have a i950 but it won't print on DVD. I would love to be able to
    do that.
