I was wondering, how many people here have Home Theater systems?
Since this is kinda a movie targeted audience and all...
Oh, be sure and list your system if you have one.
Here's mine:
Receiver: Denon AVR-2802
DVD Player: Toshiba SD-3800
VCR: Toshiba 4-head Hi-Fi
TV: 55 inch Mitsubishi 4:3 analog projection (65 inch Mits. Widescreen to come soon!)
Fronts: B&W 602 S2
Center: B&W CC6 S2
Rear: B&W LM1
Sub: Velodyne CHT-10
I love my system soo much. Kicks ass for movies and music. Gonna upgrade either the fronts or the TV very soon.

Yeah, got a nice pioneer amp and speakers, only thing is that it's only pro-logic but that can wait until more money starts flowing into the old pocket

I have the TV/DVD Player hooked up to my stereo. Probably won't invest in a larger scale system until after graduation.
-
same here. only got my dvd player hooked up to the stereo. i need a job.
His name was MackemX
What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend? -
LG 42" Plasma TV
Panasonic Amp & speakers with SUb (forget model No) - DTS, DD 5.1 and Prologic
Pansonic RV41 DVD player
Sky+ PVR digital satelite reveiver (who needs a VCR anymore!)
I'm fairly happy with this lot, but need to wall mount the Plasma soon and get better speakers. -
Sanyo 32" widescreen
Sony DVP-S336 DVD player
Pioneer CLD-2950 LD player
Nad C-370 amplifier
Wharfedale Pacific Pi-40 speakers
QED interconnect and custom speaker cables.
Nad C-541 CD player
Don't have surround sound on this system, it's in my bedroom.
Downstairs we have
42" 4:3 sony rear projection (probably to be replaced by a 36" widescreen)
Pioneer DV-530 DVD player
Denon somethingsomething amp
Bose acoustimass satellites and sub.
crappy technics cd multichanger.
not too fond of this sytem really. the sub is in the wrong place, the tv is too close, and the picture quality is rubbish. -
Ugh, why did you buy a Bose system? I used to have Bose before I upgraded and WOW what a diff.
Surely the Wharfedales are much better...
Anyway, I forgot to say that all the speaker cables are bi-wire Monster XP with the quicklock ends.
Also I have Monster Co-Ax from the DVD to receiver and Monster S-Video from the DVD to the TV.
Overkill? Probably, but I didnt spend much, waited for sales and got the shortest cables needed. -
I have a surround sound system in my lounge room.
68cm Philips TV (probably will be replaced in the next year or so with HDTV)
Philips DVD711 Player
Onkyo Receiver/Decoder/Amp (DTS, DD5.1, Pro Logic II)
JBL centre and rear speakers
Realistic (old school but still kick arse) front speakers
Sony sub-woofer -
At first I was confused as to what you meant by this.
I assumed you were talking theater as in
LCD projector with dedicated laptop
HD projecton screen
Audio system
This is my ultimate goal, along with scoring some vintage movie seats and constructing a room in my basement with the stadium style seating, well for at least 2 rows of say 4-5 charis. Eventually..........
However, currently this is how far I am in that project
1 Titanium G4 Powerbook
But this is what my living room has
AUDIO: Bose 321 Entertainment System
Players: APEX 5131 (for SVCD playback)
Sony Progressive Scan DVD
Television: Sony 32" WEGA HDTV
Personally, I really want to get the KE-32TS2 32" Plasma but its a little $$$! -
i didn't buy the bose system, it was given to us by some relatives who thought a surround system would be great, but couldn't be bothered to actually plug it in.
The wharfedales are 8000% better, which is why they get used for music, and i watch most of my films upstairs too. -

Just my two cents worth. -
Sony VPL-HS2 LCD projector
5'X8' screen
Apex 1500 for SVCD
Toshiba SD-3109 for DVD
Pioneer VSX-D458 for sound (Don't have the subwoofer hooked up as the neighbors complain.)
It's not that great of system, but I like it. -

My speakers could handle more wattage and sounded much better. I wish I still had these amazing little guys. The were by far the best speakers size for size I've ever had, but now I assume some crack head has sold them to get a fix after they stole them out of my house 15 years ago -
Way to go stiltman, you may not know but Radio Shack is my employer. And the speakers we sell are in many cases way better than the real expensive ones...i should know since I own some really great RCA satellite speakers that blow me away.

mine were the real old aluminum case speakers. They kicked @ss for the size
