Wonder if anyone can help.. have a Toshiba 210E r2 only UK supplied DVD player which gets little use. Have noticed that the main blue display on the front is not working or is switched off.

Checked handbook, there is this FLDIM button on the Toshiba remote to turn off/ dim/ normal the display but that is not bringing the display back to life. I am only pushing that one button on the remote.

Unplugged from mains and have replaced remote batteries.. still no display..

Apart from that player works fine either using buttons on the front panel or remote control..

Television is a Panasonic TX28PK2 with remote (would that interfere with the Toshiba.?. the television remote does not (intentionally)work the DVD player) and there is a playstation one connected into the aerial loop..

At a loss as to what to do/try next or is it new DVD player time..?

This must be serious as we have a 12 year old and she cannot get it to work
