    I just got it today brand new. Why is it only playing some of my movies. I have lots of movies, some vcd, svcd, xvcd, and sxvcd. Only some movies are playing. I label all my movies. My scarface backup (svcd) works but my finding nemo vcd doesn't....? i tried lots of cds and only one in every 10 or more works. Why?
    I think I may return it!
    Any comments/suggestions?

    did you check the dvd player section to see if your dvd player fully supports svcd/vcd

    yes I did.
    I looked at this section before buying anything.
    it supports - vcvd/svcd/kvcd/scvcd/xvcd/xsvcd/mpe/wma cd-r etc...

    i make most of my movies the same way...so why is it only playing some of them? xvcd's work perfectly...but most of my movies are vcd/svcd. any suggestions are appriciated? preferably from someone who owns this dvd player.
