So I bought SVCD2DVD "donated" probably 4 or 5 months back and I love the program. I was able to take all my bin/cue's and turn them into DVD images and I loved it. Recently I reloaded windows and downloaded the newest version of SVCD2DVD from the website. I installed all the .net framework and all the programs I had before, and SVCD2DVD appeared to work.
This is the actual problem, the program runs fine, I get my VIDEO_TS folder at the end and I have tried burning it with NERO, DVDDecryptor, and Copy To DVD. In all cases I end up with a DVD that will work in any computer, but will not run in stand alone DVD players. I'm using the exact same Ritek 4x DVD+R's that I used before when it worked and I am trying this on the exact same DVD Player. This particular player will play old DVD's I have created using SVCD2DVD, just not the new ones.
When I put the DVD's into the standalone player it will either read NO DISC in some players, or in mine it will play the movie but it appears like the screen is flickering really fast and scrolling vertically really fast. A friend of mine got it to work in his DVD Player and said his had no region limitations on it.
I'm fairly new at this so if anyone could help me out I'd really appreciate it. I paid for this program and I have loved it, hopefully you guys can help me get it back working.
Thanks,
Megnaro

Sounds like you have a PAL/NTSC issue. are your sources PAL or NTSC? Do your players play the TV standard in question? What was the TV standard of the previous DVDs?

Well, I'm not sure what I'm allowed to say and not allowed to say in this forum, but my sources have been multiple different svcd's I have downloaded that are not dvdrips. I don't know if that means they could be PAL or not, but if that is the problem is there a way that SVCD2DVD can handle a PAL input, if not then how do I convert it to NTSC? The DVD's that I have copied in the past have been NTSC and the players in question are all NTSC.
Thankyou for your interest and your prompt response.

If its wrong for your playe, pal or ntsc, then you must reencode it. Search ohe other forums for pal>ntsc conversions and have fun. another option, buy a player that wil play pal or ntsc. Many MANY players will play both, but not all will.
