Conexant CX23880 and CX23883

They meet NTSC dbx requirements but other than that, what is the difference?

Looks to me like the main differences are only of relevance to hardware designers -- in particular, the manner in which you physically connect the chip to other devices on the circuit board (the 883 lacks a "VIP" host port). From a functional, user point of view they look identical.

Thanks for the link. The 883 seems like a scaled down version of 880.
