I recorded something with my Leadtek TV 2000 DV with MPEG 1 format. I recorded half an hour which took nearly one gigabyte.
First I tried editing out the comertials with TMPG but the final files had gradual audio sync problems. The strange part is that the original file had no sync problems.
I tried encoding to avi or to uncompressed video with vitualdub and then with xmpeg but in every case I had the same kind of sync issues.
Does anybody know of how I can actualy edit and encode this file without the sync problems?
Thanks

I'm surprised that most people have mpeg sync problems. I have been dealing with mpegs for a while and never before experienced sync problems from cuting and pasting and havent seen sync problems dew to conversions for some time as well.
I'll try the programs and see what happens.
