    I have a few problems:

    1. The Menu doesn't fit on the TV screen. The edges are cut off.

    2. The video is messed up when played on a DVD player, and plays super fast on my PC

    3. Is there a certain type of media I should be using for making these movies?

  2. How are you making these discs?

If your losing between 5% and 10% of menu then the cause is overscanning a common thing - it's your TVs fault just leave an unused border when your making menus.

When I've had 'superfast video' the cause has been incorrect audio settings [e.g. using 32kHz instead of 48kHz or I did some strange av interleave]. If your PC cannot play it properly then it doesn't auger well for your settop.

You could make an image of your disc on hard disk and then use 'Daemon Tools' or 'Nero DriveImage' to mount the image on hard disk as if it was on a CD/DVD disc. This would eliminate media as source of problems, at least on the PC.
