Good day.
I have downloaded Picmjpeg codec to try it with winfastv2000 xp deluxe tuner card. I also wanted to use virtual dub to overcome the 2gig limit. Could somebody kindly assist if this is possible and how do you set Virtual Dub to capture via this tuner card. I would like to capture in MJPEG AVI format then edit in premiere 6.5 then output to either vcd or dvd. I'm running win98se.
Any help or info will be appreciated.
tnx and God bless.

Both work well with capture cards that use WDM drivers and allow you to capture to an AVI file using the codec of your choice such as the PICVideo MJPEG codec.

P.S.
You really should upgrade to WinXP for capturing as the files will EASILY go over the 2GB to 4GB limit. You can upgrade to WinXP Home for like $99 USD"The eyes are the first thing that you have to destroy ... because they have seen too many bad things" - Lucio Fulci

Bad news...I have the same Leadtek card and neither iuVCR nor Virtual VCR work with this card. (at least mine didn't) You're stuck using the PVR s/w capturing directly to MPEG-2. The only work around I found was using my cam corder to passthrough the analog feed to Premiere. But that doesn't help you with the Leadtek card.

Latest WinFast drivers
Celeron 1.4
VirtualVCR - YUV2 - PICVideo MJPEG codec (Quality: 20)
Able to capture 704 x 480.
Tried generic WDM drivers for bt8x8 cards - was able to capture uncompressed at 720 x 480 with YUV2 and YUV12...
Noticed some issues with those drivers - switched to Leadtek's.
ATA100 7,200 rpm HDD.
Signal from Digital Charter cable box (s-video)...

FYI, I installed the latest drivers for the Leadtek card and VirtualVCR and iuvcr work on the video end, the sound doesn't work.
I guess I'm just unlucky if everyone else is getting this to work. -
Try that:
1. Sound from your TV/other video source connect to "Line in" of sound card...
2. In "Volume Control" uncheck "Mute" in "Line"...
3. In "Recording Control" check "Select" in "Line"...
4. In WinFast PVR go to "Configuration" - in right upper portion you have audio settings for your capture card
Hope it will help

I finally got it to work (thanks to you guys). I plugged the audio cable directly to the soundcard "in" jack and it works.
I used VirtualVCR with no problems and 0 dropped frames. (a/v is all in sync too)
Thanks again -
