  1. Hello people,

Its the same old story, I am trying to put some old VCD's on DVD-R. but each of the are in a different format. (NTSCfilm, PAL and NTSC)

I have re-encoded the audio from 44 to 48, but the problem now is putting them all on one DVD. IS it possible.

I have read on the forum about patching the heads of the MPEGS. Does it really work and will it work with an NTSCfilm mpeg ?

I have a PAL DVD standalone player put it also plays NTSC disc's.

    Cheers,

  2. well you can put both formats on one disc, although not completely standard, but a little different since they are mpeg1 clips.
here is the deal most dvd players automatically converted (in my case pal to ntsc, im in the US) vcds without sometimes you even being aware that the vcd was in pal format to begin with.

But sticking them onto a dvd is a bit different, the automatic conversion does not work, so if your player cannot convert a pal to ntsc/ntsc-pal dvd then you will have some problems. If it can convert that signal then you will be ok.
