  1. I posted another topic mentioning that I've encountered audio sync problems with a DVD authored in dvdlab.

Well, since then, I've been searching old posts and this is obviously a problem that many others have had.

Is there a general fix? Is it a known problem that just can't be worked around? In all the other posts I've read, I didn't really read about a solution.

Are there similar audio problems with tmpgenc dvd author? If not, I'll just forget about dvdlab and switch to that.

    Thanks!

One topic is enough. And you can edit or reply to your old topic to add more information. I deleted your other topic.

The only time I had a problem with audio sync was when I encoded sound in mpa format. I changed to PCM (wav) and it's fine.

What were you using? Is the sync out form the start or is it gradual?

  4. It's gradual. At the start of the 135 minute film, audio is in sync. By the end, the audio is about 1.5 seconds behind the video.

  5. By the way, the mpg that I imported into dvdlab was created by tmpgenc, and is a system file. Audio format is mp2.

When I play the mpg created by tmpgenc, audio sync is fine.
