trying to burn with nero but creates and .nrg image??????/

i have an .mpg image that i converted from an .avi file. when i try to burn the .mpg image, nero just tries to burn another image instead of actually writing to the disc? what is happening?

in the nero settings, you should b able to choose recorder... then change it from image drive to your actual burner

or you can use vcdgear to convert. go to vcdgear.com and d/l the gui version 2.0
There's a drop down box with all your conversion options......ie nrg to mpg, dat to mpg, etc....
