  8. Well it depends on the Encoder, bitrate.. etc..

    anyway, can tell that it depends pretty much of the systems.. have tested my machine against a friends.. mine was 1 hour faster (8 vs 7 hour).. and his machine should be faster:
    KT133A
    thunderbird 1400
    768mb PC133 SDRAM
    60GXP RAID harddrive


    mine
    SiS735
    tb 1400
    old 34GXP harddrive
    256Mb DDR PC2100 RAM

    so the RAM must have a speedfactor too...

    but I will guess that the tb 1400 are the fastest... but the AthlonXP are faster...
