  1. Yup, that's what I feel like with my new DVD burner. I got this so I could do two basic things. Back up my video collection on disks, and burn copies of MST3K. Here are a few of my beginning questions.

I want really good copies of downloaded MST3K's off Kazaa. It feels like some of this is in a foreign language 'cause I don't know the terminology very well yet. Can someone take me step by step with examples of the process from download to about to burn?

I notice that the "bandwidth" is different on some of the episodes. Does that matter and what's better, a higher or lower bandwidth?

I have a really old computer. I notice that sound goes out of sync as I watch my copies of MST3K. I plan on getting a new mother board (someone suggested a Pentium 4) and update my version of Windows (I've got Windows '98). Does it make sense for me to download and save movies right now, just to get started, or will what I download now still have those problems after I've made those changes on my computer?

Finally, for now, how good will my copies be once the process of preparing them for burning is complete? Will they be just as clear as they were when viewed on the DivX player (when the screen is small - it looks extremely pixelated the bigger I make the screen)?

    Thanks! Sincerely, Bob

I think you should try some "trial and error" first. Some of these guys have spent 100's of hours perfecting their burning. It's not possible to teach you this in five minutes. If you want to be "walked" thru it then there are people who charge for that in your local area.
