  1. I was thinking that since it takes so long to do the deep analysis and since after you do a deep analysis of a movie you don't have to do it again since it stores your deep analysis log on your computer somewhere. Why doesn't DVD Shrink made a way were we can import these into the program, that way we save alot of time. Say you have the movie Matrix Reloaded and wanted to make a backup, you could go somewhere on the web and download the deep analysis file of that movie then all you have to do is encode it to your hard drive. I don't know if DVD Shrink already has this or not, but I think it would be a very cool feature that would make a great program even better. Just my 2 cents.

  2. Hi SirRipper.

dvdshrink and I actually discussed this a while ago.
Two of the reasons why the idea was dropped:

    - (thousands of DVD Shrink users) x (thousands of analysis files) x (hundreds of KBs/file) = astronomical bandwith.

    - too many versions of each DVD (region differences, "Special Edition", "Director's cut", "Re-edition",...)
This could end-up very confusing and frustrating for DVDShrink users (notwithstanding the maintenance/update nightmare).

The format I proposed at the time:
