    I have a Sony dvp-ns330 but cannot get VCDs and SVCDs on CD-Rs (that play okay on my other Sony player) to work with the 330 - CD-RWs seem okay though.

    Does anyone else have this problem, or can they play all media okay?

    Try using light blue cdrs. Dr. Hank's light blue media works very well.

    They're probably a Princo type 8 dye, they're excellent with Sony players.

    Also try Datasafe white tops and the "Paradox" brand. Look in the media forum too - this sort of thing crops up quite a bit in there.
